LoanMetra is a loan calculator that shows the payment, total interest and payoff date for a loan and models what an extra or early repayment saves. It amortises the balance month by month, charging interest at the annual rate divided by twelve and applying your payment, then repeats the run with any extra repayment so the interest and time the overpayment removes are shown directly. Everything below concerns that specific calculation and the values it involves, and nothing beyond it.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from the loan amount, rate, term and repayments, and it is usually opened for things like comparing two loan offers. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

What this site is — and is not

The content on loanmetra.com exists to inform and educate. Every result is an estimate derived from your input, not a measurement or a piece of professional advice — and LoanMetra makes no claim beyond that.

Financial tools

Calculators such as LoanMetra assume fixed rates, constant contributions and the ignoring of fees and inflation unless the page states otherwise. Real outcomes differ. Figures are illustrative and should not be the sole basis for a financial decision.

No warranty

On LoanMetra the key assumption is that you entered a case the method covers. It amortises the balance month by month, charging interest at the annual rate divided by twelve and applying your payment, then repeats the run with any extra repayment so the interest and time the overpayment removes are shown directly. Within that we choose the method and inputs carefully; outside it, and wherever rounding, unit handling or browser quirks intrude, the Site comes with no warranty.

Third-party links

Any link to another site is provided for convenience. That content is outside our control and we are not answerable for it.

Advertising and independence

The Site is funded by advertising. No advertiser has any say over a result, and no ad should be read as an endorsement.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking that a result suits your situation before acting on it. If something looks wrong, tell us through the contact page — we would rather fix it than be right.
